Chonnam National University is installing screening centers and prohibiting visits to prevent coronavirus infection (so-called Wuhan Pneumonia) and expansion.
Recently, patients tested positive for Wuhan Pneumonia in Korea (as of Jan. 28, 9AM) have increased to 4 people and following the elevation of infectious disease crisis warning stage to 'Alart', Chonnam National University Hospital prepared a contingency plan to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, such as preventing unauthorized access of suspected patients.
Following such, screening centers have been installed in negative pressure isolation ward within the Emergency Medical Center on the 28th to prevent unauthorized access of suspected patients into the hospital and measures have been taken so that they are inspected by medical teams before entering.
Furthermore, the hospital plans to review restricting access by visitors in the event of further expansion of infectious disease or in the event the hospital determines that more reinforced control is necessary.
Besides that, Chonnam National University Hospital is promoting the preventive measures of infectious disease by placing notices for hospital visitors and banners controlling hospital visits in different places and is doing the best to prevent expansion of infectious disease such as notifying the details of visit restrictions through text messages to hospital patients and guardians.
