The Chonnam National University Hospital (Young Keun Ahn, President) was ranked in the top tier in the selection of the ‘World’s Best Hospitals in 2022’ by Newsweek, a globally prominent weekly magazine, for 4 years in succession.
Newsweek announced that Chonnam National University Hospital was ranked the 19th in Korea with score of 78.75% in the survey for evaluation of the “World’s Best Hospitals’ carried out jointly with Statista, a globally renowned market survey and consumer data institution in Germany.
With this achievement, the Hospital has maintained its ranking in the range of 11th ~ 20th in Korea for 4 years in succession since 2019 in which evaluation was made for the first time and continued to maintain the reputation as the undisputed best national university hospitals in the country by having received very high evaluation among the regional national university hospitals.
Newsweek and Statista reflected recommendations of the employees of the hospital, experiences of patients and 3 sets of data of medical service related indices in order to ensure setting of ranking with high level of authority in this evaluation.
Young Keun Ahn, the President of the Hospital, stated that, “acknowledgement of our excellence for 4 years in succession by globally leading mass media is a recognition that the Chonnam National University Hospital is a top-tier general hospital equipped with international competitiveness,” and expressed that, “we will more sincerely pursue the innate roles of national university hospital in order to continuously maintain our high level of reputation including medical research, education and public medical services in the future.”
