Research projects of 4 professors of the Chonnam National University Hospital were selected as new tasks in the basic research projects of the government.
National Research Foundation of Korea, as the results of open competition for basic research projects organized to improve the quality of basic research performances through strengthening of creative and challenging basic researches, and cultivation of outstanding researchers, announced that research projects proposed by 4 professors of the Chonnam National University Hospital including ▲ ‘Correlation between the length of telomere of nurses on shift works and their physical and mental health: a cohort study’ of Professor Gyeong Wook Kang of the Neurology Department ▲ ‘Study on the role of NKT cells in lung damages arising from aggravation of the inflammation of acute breathing difficulty syndrome’ of Professor Tae Ok Kim of Pulmonology Department ▲ ‘Exploration of effective drug as well as application of drug therapy to Korean sleep apnea patients’ of Professor Chung Man Seong of Otolaryngology Department and ▲ ‘Study for establishment of standards for use of prosthesis through AI analysis of plantar pressure pattern of pediatric flat-footed patients’ of Professor Seong Min Kim of Orthopedic Surgery Department were selected.
As the results of this open competition, each of the 4 professors will receive research grant of 150 million KRW over the next 3 years.
