About Dept. of Dermatology: Chonnam National University Hospital Department of Dermatology with long history and tradition was initially established as part of Gwangju College of Medicine Department of Dermatology in 1946 and separated from Department of Urology in September 1967. While assuming a leadership role in research and education as well as patient care, the department has produced 114 dermatologists to date and sees more than 40,000 patients every year.
